Manchester City’s midfielder, Javi Garcia has gone on to claim that there is a lot more that the fans can expect from him in the coming weeks, as he is slowly looking to reach full fitness and show everyone just what he is actually capable of.
The Spanish international was on the sidelines for two months, after he picked up a hamstring injury. Following that injury, he has slowly started to make his way into the team, and is now looking to gradually secure a spot in the City first team in the
near future.
Garcia has already managed to score two goals for City, despite him not being an active member of the City first team. He found the back of the net against Stoke City, and then recently went on to score against Newcastle United.
The holding midfielder seems to slowly be developing some much needed confidence and the way things are going for him, he could be a part of the first team once the New Year kicks off.
"I think the games against Stoke and Newcastle have been my best for City so far and I enjoyed the win at St James' Park," he told the club's official website."I have not shown my best form so far because I was out with an injury for a month and it takes
time to adapt to the Premier League. The set-back came at a bad time for me and it's been hard to get going.”
"It was an emotional moment scoring at Newcastle because it had been a frustrating period for me in the weeks leading up to the game.”
"I had been out of the team and needed to get back to full fitness and I wasn't happy because I desperately want my season to get going to show my true form, but it hasn't been easy.”
With Garcia now out to prove a point to himself and the team’s fans, he is going to be putting in performances that everyone will be looking towards.
Should he click with the team, then he will be able to give the team a much needed dimension which could help them push on and try and reclaim their Premier League title this season.
