I have a large 'yard', it would be big enough for table and chairs and still some space left, only problem is its just concrete and the concrete isnt easy on the eye, has anyone any ideas how I could cover it? I need something which wouldnt lock in dirt if you know what I mean? As I dont have a lot of time for gardening lol Something which is easy maintained, cheap to do and covers the concrete lol I dont ask for much do I??!! :)

  1. How about some large flowerboxes?

You can get them in all shapes and sizes, even with benches built in.

I believe there's also paint available that you can create a mosaic type floor.

  2. You don't say what climate you are in or if you have shade or sun.   If its hot and dry grow cactus.   If winters  are long grow evergreens .

  3. Get some artificial grass, you can buy it by the metre at garden centres.Lay it over the slabs and use pot plants to achieve whatever effect you want.

  4. You could move your table and chairs to the centre of the garden put a lamp next to it and a few flower pots, make a few holes in the concrete big enough to put a few tall shrub/tree like in, at night when lit up will look nice, this also takes away the bareness.in the day.

  5. coloured concrete slabs...get them laid properly on wet cement then get a few pots ..fill with interesting plants.. voila..!!

  6. decking good
