Garden strimmer - mixture too rich?

Guess-timated oil/petrol mix now won't start. Would incorrect mix cause this as I thought it would just be a little smokey?

What`s a garden strimmer? Most 2 cycle motors run at 40 or 50 to 1 mixtures. Dump out what you have , put in the correct mix and clean your plug in clean gas . Then restart it. It may be a little difficult until you burn off whats in the carb , but it will start

clean your spark plug

take out the plug ..pull cord a few times to clear cylinders ..heat plug on a gas stove ..it will dry it out ..replace plug and try again ..without choke !
