Gardening. HELP!?

I have the most beautiful tomato plant i have ever grown and it just snapped in half. Any suggestions? Is there any way at all to fix this? :(

  1. Hi.  Why did the plant snap in half.  Is it because of heavy fruiting.  There is nothing you can do about the portion that has been cut off but don't worry, new growth will come from there.  However, if you experience heavy fruiting, You may put the plant on a trellis to support the plant and the fruits.


  2. You can't fix your tomato plant any more than you can restore a cut flower to its rightful place in the garden. However depending on where on the plant the break occurred, you may end up with a stronger plant, still capable of yielding a good crop of tomatoes. If the plant broke above a leaf pair, the plant is likely to have more lateral growth, creating a bushier, sturdier plant. You will know within the next two weeks!

  3. Oh, hon, I'm so sorry!

    No, you cannot fix it, but keep doing what you have been doing and it will continue to grow.  Sometimes they even look better than before.  So take heart.
