Gardening - Marijuana lol?

Do the leaves release odour that could be smelt if grown outside? Not that I'm considering growing them, but just thought of this the other day lol

I don't think the plants give off a strong odor but it wouldn't matter if the police used heat detecting cameras to scan for urban marijuana growers like I've seen them do on TV.

Even in a basement, the plants show up pretty as a picture. They usually use a helicopter to scan whole neighborhoods or any property they're already suspicious about.

Not only do the plants stink, they tend to grow taller than the plants around them as they compete for sunlight.

Ironically, I used to know a park ranger who bragged about growing his own secret stash in the Big Sur Mountains of CA.  Now those mountains are burning down; I'm sure the guy's upset over his loss, hahaha.

Would this smell as when smoked or would it maybe have a slightly different odour?

WITH SOME THE SMELL GETS STRONGER WHEN THEY FLOWER BUT many STRAINS SMELL very much WHILE STILL IN VEG.

AT THIS TIME THEY ONLY SCAN THE OUTSIDE OF DWELLINGS (with a system called flir). SO THEY CAN ONLY SEE HEAT THAT IS RADIATING THROUGH WALLS OR VENTS.

it's all about how much revenue it SAVES.

but to answer your question, an 1/8 ounce sells for $50 at the legal dispensaries in California. which is equal to the price on the street. BUT you get a BIG discount if buying or selling in bulk. i have seen the price down to $15 per ounce of bud. which means $60 per traditional indica plant

The hotter the day the more intense the smell. Increases more as buds mature and becomes intense. Although nothing similar to the smell of the smoke, the plant odor is 100% identifiable to those in the know and this aroma may be referred to as "ganja green". Will likely be stolen if near a well-traveled area.

Although the hemp fiber or sativa varieties will grow to 10 or 12' or more, average outside kush or Indica plants (those grown for bud) will seldom top 6' and each will produce 3-8 ounces of dried product. Calculate 1 plant for every 2 square yards for optimum conditions. Wholesale, this amounts to about $5-600 per plant so be cautious as to where, how and with whom you set up your "farm!"

Yes it does but depends on what type is being grown.Skunk weed has the strongest odor.
