Gardening in New Hampshire?

Question

I have a few questions.....

What zone is southern NH? (amherst to be exact)

What plants work best in my zone without a ton of work?

Do I have to pull up bulbs in the winter?

Can I cover with mulch instead of storing bulbs?

Lots of annuals can overwinter inside if you have any good light (south windows).  Many of them will grow all winter as "water sprouts" cuttings in clear containers of water.

bulbs:  http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=zone+5+...  Think you might want to store your bulbs in winter because your ground freezes.  (I love zone 8!)
