Ok where do I begin!

My cousin gave me a plum branch to plant!I planted it a month now and i water it everyday!I am getting frustrated because nothing happened at all!So I just pulled the branch out the soil to see if it had catch and I saw nothing!I put it back in and cover it back up and to my surprise I saw these little red flowers shooting out! These things were never there before! That means something is happening!

My question is would it still grow although I pulled it out?

I hope it do!

Btw my cousin planted his tree the same way!

I live in the Caribbean!

  1. It is very hard to do hard wood cuttings.  Remove the flowers they use what straigth the plant may have stored.  you should cover any cuttings such as yours under a glass jar or something to keep the cutting from dehydrating.  Second, I would take the cutting out  and cut it off some of the planted end.  then dip it in rooting compound...found at most plant centers.  Roots will only grow if a leaf node or two are under ground so cut the limb of about 1/4 inch below the node, then try it again.  But dint take it out of the ground.  If you do, you will destroy the tender new roots.
