Gareth Bale aiming to see out Tottenham Hotspur contract
Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has revealed that he is looking to see out the rest of his contract at the club.
The 21-year-old Welshman has been thrown into the centre of the media's attention after two brilliant displays against Inter Milan in the Champions League. However, he says he has no intention to leave
the club.
"Yeah, as I said I want to keep playing at Tottenham and keep enjoying my football. I'm just enjoying playing and enjoy playing at Tottenham at the moment. We've got a lot to look forward to. I'm not sure
what all the fuss is about, it's a bit surreal," he said.
Bale is one of the best left sided players in Europe at the moment and his show of loyalty to Spurs will have a positive effect around the club. It seems he only sees his immediate future in North London.
Great news
This show of commitment by Bale is great news for the club. There will be worries among fans and staff that a bigger club may come in to try and poach Bale away. However, he has confirmed this isn't a
thought or possibility in his mind.
Bale is the best left sided player that Tottenham has. He has made sure that he is now one of the first names on the team sheet every week and the club would struggle to find an equally effective replacement.
Bale is settled at one of the most traditional and historic clubs in England. London is a very appealing city and it will be very confusing for the Welshman to think of his future at any other place.
"Every footballer knows it comes with the game if you're doing well. It's kind of nice. Being viewed as a 'hot property' does not make me feel any different than I have been feeling. I wouldn't say there's
one reason. The team are playing well and it's easier to play in a team playing well. The boys around me and the manager gives us all confidence," he added.
