The Tottenham manager has come out and defended his team’s superstar against allegations of diving against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in their 5-2 loss at the Emirates stadium last week as the Spurs prepare to take on Manchester United at the
White Hart Lane stadium...
Tottenham Hotspur’s manager has made it clear that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 did not dive against Arsenal to gain an advantage in the penalty area at the Emirates stadium. Ever since Tottenham’s 5-2 loss at the Emirates, pundits and analysts
alike have vilified Bale for going down too easily inside the box to get the penalty which allowed Tottenham to increase their initial lead to two goals.
Nonetheless, Tottenham failed to hold onto their advantage and succumbed to a humiliating defeat in the end courtesy of a fine comeback by the Gunners at their home turf. Tottenham are now faced with another tough challenge on
the weekend as Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ledley-King-c21859, Bale and Rafael Van der Vaart will all go through late fitness tests
to determine whether or not they can play against United.
Redknapp said in his interview, "I don't think he dives. I haven't spoken to him about it and there is no need to. He gets kicked form pillar to post most Saturdays. I think you will find there is an awful lot of players who have
been booked for chopping him down with cynical challenges this year, rather than him going down under no challenge."
He added, "He takes some rough treatment, he gets chopped down an awful lot because he runs so quick and he changes direction so quickly. He has to accept it. The great players do like Messi and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734.”
Redknapp will hope that he can use all of his star players against Manchester United who gained an easy win over Tottenham earlier on in the season when Spurs visited the Theatre of Dreams. It remains to be seen whether or not
Bale, Van der Vaart and King will play for Tottenham given their injury concerns.
