Gareth Bale’s hamstring rules him out of Wales international fixture against England
Tottenham Hotspur winger and Welsh international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422, has suffered a serious set-back after the 21-year-old was ruled out of his team’s Euro 2012 qualifiers against England.
Bale recently suffered a hamstring injury that has forced him to miss out on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. This was news that rocked the winger badly after he remained sidelined for six months and made a come-back only just recently.
A Welsh newspaper reported, "It's a bitter blow for Gareth because he was so keen to play but there is no chance that he'll be fit in time."
The news came just after his Spurs team mate, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Crouch-c29741, revealed that Bale is the only potent threat to England’s hopes in the upcoming qualifier. He further admitted that, Bale is unplayable sometimes but it does not mean that people start calling him
a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 or Cristiano Ronaldo.
Crouch added that, "Messi and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan over two games showed
people what he is capable of and what he will do in the future."
This news has also left the Spurs boss, Harry Redknapp, a bit worried about one of his top players. The Spurs are to play a UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid and Redknapp desperately wants his winger to be completely
fit before that. Spurs face Los Blancos on Thursday, the 5 of April.
Bale, on the other hand has expressed a deeper concern about his injury and seemed clearly frustrated after it was confirmed that, he won’t be able to take the field against the Three Lions. The manager is now hoping that Bale gets to full fitness before
the quarter-final stages of Champions League. Tottenham are currently fifth in the Premier League table with forty-nine points and four points short of Manchester City. The Spurs, with a game in hand, will be looking look to finish in the top four for the
second consecutive season.
