The Manchester City midfielder says that the Citizens are disappointed because they could not win against Stoke City but they need to aim for a win in all of their remaining Premier League ties to win the English Premier League
trophy...
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Barry-c14423 has come out and made it clear that Manchester City are not happy at drawing their latest league encounter against Stoke City due to Peter Crouch’s fine effort but the Englishman has also insisted that his team mates
are now ready to win their next eight league encounters.
Manchester City went top of the Premier League table on goal difference with their recent draw against Stoke City but with Manchester United playing against Fulham on Monday night; it is quite unlikely that City will remain at
the top of the league table for the next week. Currently both the Manchester clubs are tied on points but Manchester City have played a game more than United.
If United win their tie against Fulham, they will go to the summit of the league table with a three point advantage in their hands. Both United and City are set to play each other at the end of April in the Manchester derby at
the Etihad stadium but it still remains to be seen whether or not the title race will be over by then or not.
Barry said, "We are disappointed because we wanted to win the game but we have got to look at the big picture now and concentrate on the next eight games. We were a bit deflated in the dressing room but we have gone a goal down
here, which is a really tough place to come, and come back to get a point which keeps us in touching distance.”
He added, "It is important now we keep it to no more than the three points for when we do play Manchester United. We can't be relying on other teams - we have got to try to win all our games from now until the end of the season.
That is our target. It is going to be really tough but while it is in our hands it is still possible. We are confident we can do that."
