    I read a short concise book with scientific studies called garlic for health which might be good for you to get.

    More than anything else;

    1) It mostly reverses atherosclerosis (and hence heart disease) since it removes LDLs (cholestorol) from the blood, and keeps the blood from clotting.

    2) It's a super effective antiviral/bacterial agent.

    3) It often works better than available chemotherapy drugs for killing cancer (or works well when used in conjunction).

    For what it's worth though, the guy who wrote the book found the Kyolic extract form of garlic works the best for clinical effects and also has the least amount of side effects (ie odor) , so if you really want to pursue garlic for benefits, I would purchase Kyolic extract form.
