  1. antibiotics are the only thing you use for infections, don't use a home remedy on your baby it may not turn out the way it is supposed to because the baby is to young for that kind of foreign fluids to enter the body let a lone it's ears.  If you are wrong it may due more damage than good, take your baby to the doctor.....

Good luck I hope your baby is feeling better soon.

Take care and Keep the Faith....cya....

  2. Oh my goodness.

NEVER, ever take the advice of the internet with a child.

If your child has an ear infection, take him or her to the doctor.

Do NOT do anything else unless a doctor advices you to do so.

  3. I've never heard of garlic oil for ear infections....and I certainly would not put anything IN to the child's ears unless directed by a doctor.  I will say though that children's tylenol or motrin should be the first line of defense....it'll help ease the discomfort.  Also, note if your child has a sinus issue or a cold where there could be pressure building up in sinuses or some issue with drainage.  Has your child been swimming lately - could be an irritation due to water in the ear, or something from the water that has triggered an infection.  Lots of times, the docs aren't even giving antibiotics for ear infections because they clear up on their own in a few days...then if not, they'll try meds.  They're more cautious (or should be!) than they used to because we've over-used antibiotics.  Definitely the pain meds, and depending on if it gets worse or better overnight, or through the day, then call the doc for advice.  The other thing is that sleeping sitting up, or with a couple pillows helps a lot too because if there's fluid of any kind, gravity helps keep it from building up pressure in the ear, unlike if you're laying down. Good luck..

  4. ABSOLUTELY NOT! what kind of question is that? no do not put anything in your baby's ear, because ear infection some times are do to chest or troth infection and he/she will need antibiotics,  take him to the dr. asap.it very painfull , don't wait any longer , for now and for the pain only  childrens motrin is over the counters that is safe, good luck.

  5. Ear infections can be very painful take him to the doctor ASAP! He needs antibiotics and make sure you give the antibiotics properly!!  If your baby is in pain give him whatever pain killer your doctors recommends and use a warm towel by his ear.
