Does anyone use this tool to follow how far and fast you run, like at track practice, around the track?

Is it hard to use?

I ordered one but hope that it is not too complicated to figure out.

  1. No, never used it.  If it is a GPS unit, then I would have to say that it will do what it says.  It will track time and distance and should be very informative.

  2. no never have

just try reading the manual; good luck

  3. The Garmins are fantastic. I have the Garmin Forerunner 405 which is the newest. It is better than the older models in two key ways: 1) It locates satellites in about 1 minute versus much longer time , and 2) it looks more like a regular stopwatch than sort of a mini-E.T. on your wrist like the 205/305.

However, I am assuming all models do the same basic things: provide time, pace and distance at a glance while running, and then logging and organizing all your activities on the computer with actual maps showing each run (so cool!). And this is very valuable information, as well as good training motivation and tracking.

It doens't take long to figure out how to use (and I am NOT tech savvy), I say good for you and have fun!
