Garmin gps. I purchased a garmin gps and I am trying to install the usb driver on my computer.

Question

I purchased a garmin gps and I am trying to install the usb driver on my computer. Was instructed to connect the garmin gps to my computer but keep receiving the following message
that I must connect the unit to my computer and if I keep getting this message to check the url for additional information

but I can't get any information at that site....

the product is garmin streetpilot c550....same problem as described but on GPSmap 60CSxI am trying to download goechache to GPs and it will not let me download program. It tell me I have to download first. I have tried to download several times

GARMIN nuvi 260 test page claims it cannot detect the usb connection. I have downloaded the drivers but nithing helps
