Garmin gps system question?

I was wondering if I bought a Garmin Legend hcx will i be able to go out into thewoods and mark my truck my tree stands and other off the beaten path like my uncle who has just a e trex. Or does the legend hcx only mark roads and stuff.

That model will work fine for that!

The only models not suitable for what you are talking about are the "Car navigation" units like the Tom Tom or Garmin Nuvi that need to be plugged into the car all the time. Pretty well any hand-held type unit will work well for your purposes.
