Garmin nuvi 250w freeze up

Question

I have had my Garmin nuvi 250W for 3 months. The unit has worked great until today. I went to the main menu where it says "where to go" and then Map. I clicked where to, clicked address, hit state and then clicked spell city. It freezes up or shuts down. Also if i try to click settings and go into menu it shut down.What went wrong and why it shutting down.How do I fix it?
