After finding opportunities hard to come by, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Garry-Bocaly-c14429 left Marseille for Montpellier where the 23-year-old has been a revelation. The youngster now wants to play for France in the future
Trained by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127, 23-year-old Garry Bocaly will once again return to the Velodrome and will be looking to beat a team where he spent almost 6 years which were dominated by loan spells at Libourne and Montpellier.
In 2010, the youngster signed for La Paillade permanently and has now become an integral part of Rene Girard’s side that is vying for its first Ligue 1 Championelle. A win against Marseille will give Montpellier a three-point lead over PSG and Bocaly would
be keen to have a good outing against Didier Deschamps’ side.
Going back on the time he spent at the Canebiere, Bocaly says that he never really found his feet at Marseille and it was too early for him to make a name for himself with the Rhone giants.
“Life as a footballer is made of good and bad times. It was too early for the young player I was. I only had two seasons in Ligue 2.”
Bocaly then went on to say that he was not ready at Marseille and he was too young to develop the mental strength to block all criticism coming his way.
Despite this, Bocaly has not closed doors to a possible return to a club where it all started for him.
Bocaly however, feels that Montpellier can become a big club and has all it takes to play in the top competitions.
“I am in Montpellier. Why can’t we become a big club? We have built new facilities with the acquisition of Grammont (training centre). We are a part of a wonderful project. I have lived only nice things in Montpellier.”
Thanks to Rene Girard’s excellent man management skills, Bocaly feels at home and has grown as a player and as a person. Like every young prospect, Bocaly is keen to play for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 one day.
“When we played for France Under 21 and 16, we always dreamt of the senior side. I have the team in mind and I challenge myself for this.”
