The Frenchman is pleased with the way Montpellier played against the Bundesliga outfit on Wednesday to earn a valuable point away from home
The reigning French champions came from behind to nick a draw against Die Knappen, in their second group game of the Champions League.
Garry Bocaly was shown a straight red card for challenging a Schalke player in the box, giving away a penalty in the end. However, the 24-year-old feels that the decision to send him off was a bit harsh and the referee got it wrong.
The full-back added that he let his teammates down with that mistake, but praised Montpellier for getting a positive result in the end.
“As I was coming off, I felt like I was abandoning my mates. It was a penalty, but the red card decision was a little bit harsh,” the defender told reporters.

The right-back said that La Paillade’s impressive performance in the Champions League has helped players regain their confidence, and they need to keep playing like this.
"It is a bonus to take a point here, now we need to build on it. We have to emphasise the spirit shown by the team.”
