Gary Anderson wows fans with a magical nine-dart finish win, the UK Open ignites top-notch entertainment once again!
The UK Open brings darts magic once again with nail biting fixtures. It has been arguably the best year for the sport of darts, as the UK Open has successfully carried the brilliance of the McCoy’s Premier League 2012.
With sadness striking fans all over with Ted Hankey’s early exit from the UK Open, other fixtures have been inspiring and full of entertainment.
The world witnessed Gary Anderson winning in the third leg with an outstanding nine-dart finish.
It was indeed breath-taking to witness Anderson performing his first televised nine-darter. Anderson was ecstatic and delighted with his current form and used the newly designed darts for the first time in the UK Open.
Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis have started off smooth and have won their initial games. Taylor, however, faced difficulties as his face-off against Roland Scholten was not easy at all.
“He came back well and put me under pressure, and I'll admit that my bottle was going. I was shaking a little bit because you don't want to get beaten in your first game here,” said Taylor, appreciating Roland’s game.
Anderson, on the other hand, was at his level best and gave a full on entertainment package for the fans all over the world. He has found his lost form and is looking pretty dangerous following his nine-darter victory.
“It's very special, I've never done one on TV before so it's very nice to hit one here,” said a pleased Gary Anderson.
He threw a nine-darter early in the game as no one was expecting the magical move this quick. Even Anderson agreed that it came early and had the surprise element in it that wowed fans all over the globe.
“The nine-darter actually came a bit early in the game for me because it was only the third leg and I started thinking about it and lost my focus on the game, but I came good,” said Anderson.
Anderson is looking impressive and if he remains consistent, he may take home the UK Open title with his first ever televised nine-dart finish in the early rounds.
