http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439 has gone on to insist that the Blues are still in the hunt to win the Premier League title, despite the fact that Manchester United are sitting a massive eleven points ahead of them at this point in the season.
However, what the Blues have working in their favour, is the fact that they have a game in hand, which could help them reduce the deficit between the two teams at this point in the season.
Chelsea started off the season rather positively, but they soon went on to produce some rather poor performances. In fact, their performances were so poor that the team went on to change managers mid way through the season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo was asked to leave and Rafa Benitez was appointed to take over on a temporary basis.
This change in management has seen the team go on and start winning things again, but there is still a lot of ground to make up at the moment.
Despite that fact, Cahill is confident that his side can go all the way, and the defender is reported to have said: "Like you've seen today, [Manchester United have] slipped a couple of points.”

"They are a very strong outfit and have been there many, many times, so it will be tough, but all we can do is try not to drop many points now and with performances like that we won't go far wrong.”

"Obviously it is a big gap but we can only go out and get results."

This past weekend, Chelsea went on to crush Aston Villa, as they put a massive eight goals past the team. In that game, seven different people went on to find the back of the net and the team looked to be in top form once again.
Cahill feels that the perofmance that the Blues put in was a message to the rest of the league, and a massive indication to what they are looking to achieve.
"Everything came together for us," he enthused. "We were good defensively, created a lot of chances and kept pushing and pushing until the 90th minute. It's a rare scoreline - we've shown what we can do."
