Cahill said in an interview:
“Frank Lampard was fantastic. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Cole-c6809 was amazing and he's probably been the best left-back in the world for many years. Didier, again, turned up, the big man for the big occasion. You just learn from these sorts of boys, especially myself.”
The former Bolton Wanderers defender was extremely pleased with his performance in a difficult fixture, having to replace skipper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 who was suspended for the match.
He said:
“You only get the experience by playing in the games and, now, these games, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 games, and even coming on in the Benfica game in the second half was a great experience for myself and will only improve me as a player.”
As for Drogba, Cahill believed the striker had done more than enough to prove his worth to the club and deserved to be held on to.
Cahill revealed:
“He just seems to turn up in these big games and that's the kind of player he is.”
