Gary Kirsten Returns to Home Team
The ex-South African star batsman, who coached the Indian cricket team into winning the 2011 http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup, has now returned to the South African side as their new coach.
The appointment comes with a two year contract as Kirsten is set to formally take over the South African side in August this year. Cricket South Africa (CSA) has reported that Kirsten will also be assisted by fellow colleague and former South African pacer
Alan Donald.
Gary Kirsten served his nation between 1993 and 2004. His decade long career turned Kirsten into becoming dominant opening order batsman who could add wonders to his side.
Kirsten made his international cricketing debut in 1993 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746. The tour brought opening Test and One Day International (ODI) matches for the player. Though the trip gave Kirsten a slow start, the batsman however, earned a good repute as stable
left handed batsman and a vigilant fielder as his career progressed.

Arab Emirates in the 1996 ICC Cricket World Cup. The innings earned him the highest World Cup score ever of 188.
In his eleven successful years of cricket, Gary Kirsten has played 101 Test matches while 185 ODIs scoring total runs of 7289 and 6798 respectively.
Following his retirement in 2004, Gary Kirsten proceeded on to establish his own cricket academy in Cape Town. However, in 2007 Kirsten was called in to fill out the vacant spot as a coach for India.
With his acceptance, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) offered the South African a two years contract. Kirsten officially took charge of the Blue Shirts on 1st March 2008.

Gary is now set to take on his home team as their coach. The cricketer, who returned to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 due to family commitments, added overjoyed comments to his return.
“Obviously I am delighted and I consider it a major honor and privilege to coach South Africa. After playing for the team for 11 years, it’s great to be back with something that has been such a part of my life and back with my people” Gary said.
Gary is said to start off as the South African coach in August this year. The cricketer added that he will take on the same coaching techniques that he applied with the Indian side.
With Gary Kirsten back on his home turf, one may expect a lot many marvels from his squad in years to come as their newly appointed coach sights the next ICC Cricket World Cup.
