Indian coach, Gary Kirsten, is going back to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 win their second cricket World Cup title on 2nd April 2011.
Kirsten, who was given credit for India’s success, thanked the Indian nation for making him feel at home. While talking to media before his departure, the former South African opener said that he will never forget the moments in India as coach and it is
quite difficult to say goodbye.
"It has been an amazing achievement to be a part of this special group of cricketers", Gary said.
The South African coached India’s team for three years and he did not have any prior experience of coaching but his efforts and strategies proved fruitful for the Men in Blue.
During his tenure, India’s national cricketers showed great improvement in all areas including batting, bowling as well as fielding. They not only clinched the World Cup, they also reserved their place at the top of the ICC Test rankings.
Gary Kirsten lauded India’s team efforts saying that the team did great work on their fielding during his term. He said that the Indian team showed a remarkable fielding performance beyond his expectations in the final match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 at Wankhede

Kirsten’s efforts can also be realized from the fact that India’s batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar, and, pacer, Zaheer Khan, regained their forms during his tenure as team coach.

Owing to his incredible efforts, Gary was urged to continue as Indian coach by the team members. However, he declined their request, as he has been away from his family.
The coach praised skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mahendra-Singh-Dhoni-c73820, saying that he is an outstanding leader.
The Indian batting icon, Sachin Tendulkar, also appreciated Dhoni saying that he was the best captain he has played under. Sachin also gave the credit of their win to Gary Kirsten.
