Gary Kirsten thwarted by India’s relegation from number one spot - Cricket News Update
Former coach of India, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gary-Kirsten-c58527, spoke his mind out about the recent crisis being faced by the Men in Blue.
Kirsten, who took the Indians to new heights under his regime, was thwarted by Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s relegation from the number one spot. However, he asked the Men in Blue to stay calm and focus on their game as
he believes that they still have the venom to overcome the best sides of the world.

out things and get back to winning ways. He also passed on an advice to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Duncan-Andrew-Gwynne-Fletcher-c54742, the current Indian coach, to follow the culture of team.
In an interview, Kirsten said, “I am bit surprised with the results, but not in a negative way. It's always difficult to understand why teams ebb and flow and often it's the intangibles that make the difference.
When a new coach comes in its important that he follows on with the culture of the team. It's not easy to continue a run of success.”
Indians have been humiliated by England in npower Test series; they trail the four match series by three games to nil, and after losing their top spot, find themselves defending the second position on International
Cricket Council's (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625) Test rankings.
Kirsten said that Indians should turn their attention towards the ODI series, as what has happened in Tests is history and the only way to restore their pride is by winning the ODI series and showing their
dominance as the reigning World Champions.
“I hope they have a good one-day series, because if they leave do, they can look back and say, 'ok, we had a disappointing Test series, but as World Cup winners we've shown our worth in the one-day game,”
reckons Kirsten.
The 43-year-old former cricketer backed the inclusion of senior players in the team despite their lacklustre performance in the series. Kirsten said that during his coaching days he always made sure that
he had a good mix of experience and youth.
