The former Manchester United man has declared that England need to work harder as a national team in order to compete against the likes of Spain and Italy in international tournaments as the FIFA rankings do not accurately
depict the Three Lions’ position in world football...
There has been a lot of criticism aimed at the latest FIFA rankings which have placed the English national team as the fourth best team in world football despite their lack of results in international tournaments of late.
In the FIFA 2010 World Cup, England were knocked out at the round of 16 by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 were left dejected as a result
and Neville has now claimed that the national team needs to work harder in order to compete against the likes of Spain.
England have undergone some turbulent times this year as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello parted ways with the Three Lions at the start of the year only to be replaced by Roy Hodgson. The former West Bromwich Albion manager has done well with the

Neville said in his comments, "There is no point in kidding ourselves. We are not quite at the same level as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 and Germany. What we have shown is that we are a difficult side to beat. We fought like crazy.
Hopefully over this next four years the manager can get his principles across to the players and we can do better.”
He added, "But the reality is there are a lot of nations out there who have very good football players and we have to be respectful of our position."
Neville is now a part of the England national team coaching staff under Hodgson and he was also a part of the England contingent which travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 for their EURO 2012 fixtures. After their disappointment at
the European Championships, England have now set their sights on the FIFA 2014 World Cup which is set to take place in two years in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858.
