Former Manchester United player http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Neville-c14447 has backed Andre Villas-Boas for success at Tottenham, and believes the manager needs more time to prove himself.
Neville thinks the Portuguese tactician was lucky to get a good managerial job so soon after he was dismissed by Chelsea, and believes the manager will come good if given the time and the chance.
Tottenham lost to Chelsea at home this past weekend in a thrilling London derby, which ended in a 2-4 score line. The hosts had been shell shocked when they conceded three quick goals, shortly after taking the lead against the European champions.
Chelsea had dominated the greater part of the 90 minutes, and were clearly the better team after they took the lead in the first half. However, Tottenham also enjoyed spells of domination and possession, which paid off when they equalized in the second half

Spurs then took the lead through a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359 strike, which sent the home crowd into a wild frenzy. Tottenham looked likely to emerge as victors, but Chelsea’s quality in midfield proved to be too much for them.
Chelsea fired home three successive goals, and grabbed all three points which keeps them at the top of the league table.
Villas-Boas looked disappointed and speechless, losing to his former employers in such dramatic fashion. Many of the Spurs fans again booed the team off, and pundits and analysts began asking questions of the manager’s ability.
Gary Neville however believes that Villas-Boas needs more time to settle in, and will come good eventually.
"We shouldn't be too quick to judge Andre Villas-Boas a failed manager. He has admitted that he made mistakes at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 but you can be sure he will have learned from them," the player wrote in an article.

"He has been fortunate to be invited back into such a good http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 so quickly. I don't begrudge him that. In fact, I hope that more managers are given second chances to prove their worth rather than be written off too quickly. The knocks you take while you still
have the L plates on as a manager might be the making of you."
