The former Manchester United right back has called on Manchester United to prove their doubters wrong by taking up the challenges that have been put to them by the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Manchester City in the upcoming Premier
League season...
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Neville-c14447 has confirmed that Manchester United need to step up their game and prove their critics wrong in the upcoming Premier League season after Manchester City tipped them to the Premier League title last season. Manchester
United failed to add to their collection of silverware last season as they were knocked out of the F.A Cup at an early stage and they failed to impress in the UEFA Champions League as well.
The Red Devils did not manage to qualify out of their group and thus were condemned to disappointment in the Europa League where they were knocked out by Athletic Bilbao. Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has been working silently behind the scenes
on bringing new faces to Old Trafford this summer as exhibited by Manchester United’s new signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364.
Furthermore, the Red Devils have been banking on their youth players such as Cleverley and Welbeck to come good in the coming league campaign.  There is no doubt that critics believe that Manchester United’s strength in the league
title race is on the wane and much of this has to do with Manchester City’s rise to the top of the Premier League standings.
Neville said, "The challenge this season is always the same. It's to win the Premier League, do well in the cups and do well in the Champions League. That challenge never changes. But, obviously, when you don’t win anything you
have an added incentive because people start to question the team and wonder if the empire is crumbling.”
He added, “United now have an opportunity to put things right. The manager and the players have had to cope with all that before. So this challenge is something they'll all be looking forward to.”
With the likes of Hazard and Mata at Chelsea, the Blues will pose a further threat to Manchester United’s unrivalled dominance of the English game coupled with Manchester City’s ever improving squad.  It remains to be seen whether
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men will be able to respond aptly to these challenges at hand or once again Old Trafford is set for an empty-handed season.
