Gary Russell to face Paul Truscott on July 23 in the United States – Boxing news
The American professional boxer Gary Russell will be facing the former Commonwealth Featherweight Champion, Paul Truscott on the undercard of the July 23 main event which features another competition between the WBA Super Lightweight Champion Amir Khan and
the current IBF Light Welterweight Champion Zab Judah of Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in United States.
The Featherweight contender and the brother of the 2010 National Golden Gloves Champion Gary Allen Russell has been an exceptional performer since he joined boxing as a profession and he is still an undefeated boxing prospect.
Russell is coming after winning all of his 16 consecutive fights. Gary ‘Mr’ Russell turned professional winning technical knockout decision against Antonio Reyes in 2009 at the Million Dollar Elm Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In his last fight, the 23-year-old Southpaw stance, Russell won a four-round knockout decision fighting against Antonio Meza in their 8-round bout in July 2011 at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. Russell scored his number ten knockout decision against
Meza.
On the other hand, the English professional boxer, Paul Truscott has fought 19 of his total fights of which he won 17 including 2 knockout victories with 2 losses.
The Orthodox stance, Paul Truscott is returning to the ring after winning four of his consecutive fights. His last fight was against Zsolt Nagy on March 5, 2011 at the Leisure Centre in Huddersfield, Yorkshire. Truscott won the six-round points decision
against Nagy.
Truscott turned professional after winning four-round points decision against Billy Smith in 2006 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, Lancashire.
After twelve of his back to back victories, Truscott faced the first ever loss of his career losing a technical knockout decision against John Simpson in 2009 at the Eston Sports Academy in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.
