Question:

Gas Cards?

My dad's birthday is coming up and he is about to go on a road trip with his buddies, so I thought whats a better gift than a gas card? I do not know anything about gas cards, I have just heard about them. Anyways, my question is, can you purchase them at a gas station using cash, or could you get them at wal-mart or target or something? I'm 16 and don't have a credit card. Looking to buy somewhere around a 20 doller gas card. Just wondering if they will accept me to purchase one.

Thanks!

  1. I don't think it would be a problem. I would suggest you go to a gas station and see what gift cards they have. The god thing is that the gas station may offer a gas gift card that you could buy. They do accept cash to purchase the cards. Also I know like wawa has a gift card that can be used for food, gas etc. Or go to walmart an see what they have to offer because I usually see a variety of cards on the shelves.

  2. A gas card is usually ok to purchase. I'm not sure where you want to buy it from but just walk into your local gas station and buy the card with your cash? I mean it's for gas, not the actual card, so I doubt they'll hassle you.

If they do, just hand the cash over to your dad and say 'this is for gas'. That's also very kind of you to do!

    Cheers!
