  1. GC is a scientific technique, it doesn't necessarily have any side effect on humans.

    It does (usually) involve an oven which can get quite hot (several hundred degrees).  Touching the heated area will probably cause burns.  The oven should be well insulated (to keep the heat inside, also protecting the operator).  So if you're getting "some degree burn" then the instrument is DANGEROUSLY in need of repair, you should not be using it at all.

    "The gas will come out", but "the gas" is usually something safe: Helium or sometimes nitrogen.  (Hydrogen has been used, but, frankly, if you're asking this question then you need more training before you use a GC with hydrogen as the carrier gas.)

    There could be health risks from the samples being analyzed.  It depends on what they are, and how much you're analyzing.  (It usually winds up being a very small quantity.)
