Gas Credit Card?

Question

With gas being so high now-a-days are gas credit cards worth it?? I've never had one but I know some companies offer rewards??

mine saves me 5 cents a gallon providing I pay it in full every month I haven sat down to figure out how much it saves me in the long run

There are a lot of credit cards which offer rebate on gas:

Citi - 2%

Chase offers the following (rebate % in the bracket)

- BP - 5

- Speedway - 4

- Marathon - 4

Most of the above cards restrict you to a particular gas station .. only the Discover gas card (afaik) gives you 5% rebate on any pump you use.

In addition to the 5% on the gas products, most of the above cards give you 1% or 2% rebate on all products you buy with the credit card. So not a bad deal ...

I would suggest a discover gas card if you can get it.

What you get is 5% rebate on future purchases of gas.  If you only use the card to buy gas, and then continue purchasing gas on the card it will get you the 5% rebate.  

The card I use is a BP card and after you get to 25 dollars in rebates you order a gift card from them, but you can use the gift cards to buy anything at a BP, not just gas.

I got my BP card from : www.wheredoigetcredit.com just go there and click on gas cards on the left side of the screen and sign up and away you go.
