Gas Fumes, Gas Mileage?

Question

I have a 94 Ford E-150 with a 6 cylinder engine. I'm smelling gas fumes towards the front of the van and I seem to be losing gas mileage pretty rapidly. What could be the cause of this problem you think?

It sounds like a leaking fuel injector

EXTREME FIRE HAZARD!  FIX ASAP!

Sounds like you might have a gas leak.

Get your fuel/air filters checked, and possibly dump some fuel cleaner into your gas tank to clean out the gas lines.

If you are referring to raw gas, then investigate & have the problem rectified immidately.  There is a high risk of engine fire.
