Gas Mileage on Trailblazer

Question

Hey im looking to buy a Black Chevrolet trailblazer 4x4 with a v6 in it. Im not sure how many litres, probably stock. I talked to my dad about it, and he said they dont get too good of gas mileage. Does anybody have verification?

This might not be a perfect answer, but it may give you a better idea of what type of mileage you might get:

Check the gear ratio on the transmission.  Trailblazers had three different options.  The lower gear ratios were for people that did a lot of heavy towing, while the higher ratio was for those who drove predominantly on the highway.  The higher ratio gives the best gas mileage, but I don't think it was the most common choice.

My parents had one and it didn't get the best of gas mileage. I suggest you research the Specs. They're good for winter and not for summer! Especially when gas prices are this high. You might want to consider something that doesn't cost $70 to fill!

If it's used or a few years old the gas mileage has probably gone down some, it just depends on how it's been treated.
