Gas- Plus to Regular-Will it hurt?

Question

I got a 98 ford taurus in march. The people who had it before only used plus gas, What will happen if i start using regular instead of plus. I used premium and it didn't do anything.

it won,t hurt nothing, i did it.

absolutely nothing.  truth be told, unless some mods have been done to the car this won't even affect gas mileage or hp by 1.

Exactly, nothing. The only reason for switching to a higher grade was they thought it would do some good. Have a mechanic go over it and make some recommendations. Since it's a '98 you might want to get a tune up and start fresh.

most cars can run regular gas with no problems. a few cars need premium gas they will run but will ping without the higher octane gas. i would not worry use regular a lot cheaper it will not hurt your engine you should see no difference

I agree 100% Only higher compression race modified engines can't handle pump gas...don't sweat this, but by all means, choose whatever gas you would like. Higher octane means colder flame, which means a touch more power, which means, a tad bit better gas mileage!!
