Okay... okay...

so if we are gonna rely on Biodiesel, Veggie Oil...

And we are going to grow more vegetable crops...

we are going to have problem with bugs, especially

locusts.

And then we will have problem with our water... using

so much pesticides....

Then if we use animal fat... then we will have to

deal with animal right groups... cause more animals will be abused.

We already have...

1. high demand, hike the prices on small cars.

2. airplane bankrupt

3. layoffs at SUV and Truck industries.

I don't see how you guys can stay calm.

  1. Have you not noticed that just about everyone is saying no to growing crops for fuel. Nobody ever proposed using animals for fuel.

So, we have no need for pesticides  or extra water for crops we will not be converting to fuel.

We can buy a Rio car for less today than any time since 2000. That may be just because Canadian dollar has been rising.

My solution is to drive less.

  2. well take extra stuff with you it should really help it helped me alot! So work on it

  3. You're too short sighted.  We are only at the very early stages of biofuels.  Ethanol from corn is just the first stage.  In the next stage there will be ethanol production from your own backyard...  You will be able to produce ethanol fuel from sugar at a cost of 50 cents per gallon (available soon - see link below).  In the next stage we will be using starch and cellulose to produce ethanol. And it will cost about 25 cents per gallon.  Then we will be making oils and diesel fuel from algae.  These would also be made in micro refuelers in your back yard.  Airlines will fly on oil made from algae.  Boeing recently announced that their jets will fly on these biofuels in ten years. At that time there will be no need for fossil fuels.  The algae biofuels will operate on sunlight and carbon dioxide. It will actually help reduce greenhouse gases and end global warming.  But it doesn't end there... on no..  Then the bio-fuel revolution will continue with the development of artificial photosynthesis.  Artificial photosynthesis will usher in a host of products without destroying our forests, artificial oil, hydrogen generation, remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, artificial wood products and many, many other industrial opportunities will come as a new world of prosperity arrives.

  4. They stay calm cause they have us right where they want us.

at thier mercy.  While we suffer and go broke, our gov. leaders big concern has been steroids in baseball.   How's that for concern?

  5. Don't worry, it's an election year.  Starting late September, early October, gas prices will drop sharply, in an effort to buy our votes, just like they did in '06.

Algae, the greatest source of bio-fuels found so far, they out produce the other crops, we can farm it or obtain what normally washes to the shores.

Feeling better yet?  If not check out  the new technology for solar panels.  Methane gas collection.  Hydrogen cars and the list is growing daily.  Algae means we can keep our current way of life while finding new alternatives.  Good for the environment too.

  7. Yes, gas will certainly go higher.  It has to.  Oil has gone higher.  It has to.  The sale of oil has been conducted with US dollars since the 1970's I believe.  The US dollar is on the decline.  Therefore, oil and it byproducts have to increase.

Iran & Venezuela are the only OPEC countries accepting Euros for their oil. (Iraq used to... until we invaded them)  If we could use our military and squash them and make them get back in line and accept only US dollars, then the value of the dollar of course would increase.  However, most Americans can't stomach the idea of killing people over the control of oil.  (Even if they knew it's importance relative to the value of our dollar and our bleak economic outlook.)

Another thing is that Russia has for sometime now, known that oil is not a fossil fuel.  It's actually "abiotic" and can be extracted from very deep in the earth.  (They tried to get US interested in the 1990's but got the cold shoulder.) They are now having success in Siberia as well as Vietnam.

Also China has been getting oil and piping it out to the Red Sea from the Darfur region.  (Our media fails to mention this when talking about "genocide" over there.)

History is full of stories about the control of resources (natural and people).  Today is no different.

  8. 1) We've been through this sort of crisis before.  The 1970's were quite scary, but we got over it.  It's tough to get scared again over the same thing.

    2) As a race (that is, human) we're exceedingly clever at coming up with schemes for moving goods and people and otherwise providing our energy needs.  It's not, by any means, the greatest crisis the world has ever seen.

So, calm down.  We'll figure it out.   There are lots of solutions, but probably not one over-arching one that'll cure everything.

  9. In every way possible no one will be able to not be involved with the price of fuels. Our government leaders have in no way tryed to find other ways to avoid the high cost of fuels because they were being given whatever it took to look the other way. We had two people from California that are still in Washington, that when the price of gas was in the $2.50 a gallon range was going to found out what the reason was for the high price, now that it's reach the $4.00 a gallon, don't hear anything from them. The day won't be to far off until people will die because they weren't able to afford the food needed, nor the money to keep themselves in a warm house to avoid bad health. Wake up American people, we are feeding and care for everyone all over the world yet the leaders in Washington aren't helping us. Everyone that can vote needs to make an effort to send a message to all the people in Federal and State offices that if they want to remain in office, start working for the American people or lose the vote for them. On TV and in the papers there is always protests about things that really don't effect everyone, yet alot of time is spent on covering their wild ideas, where are those people that can get alot of support on the issues now with costs of everything going up.
