Gas Prices - What's Your Breaking Point?

What price would put you in a place where you had to reduce the amount of meals you eat each day? I just saw a news story about a woman that has gone down to one meal a day...sad.

  1. It is hitting $4.00 now. Yes I understand there is a possibility that it can break us. Diesel is also expensive. Hybrid cars are also very expensive. What I have noticed, on my way to my girls house for Mothersday, was that the majority of drivers took the right lane, and drove 30 mph or less, very few vehicles have passed us in the left lane at 40 mph  all this in a 45 mph zone. That is one way to conserve fuel, slow and steady driving, may take a little more time, it will save on fuel. We are working now at eating less, and that is appropriate considering that we have generally become overweight or obese, therefore it is necessary to save money on groceries and especially on eating out. Join me in prayer for our economy.

  2. Gas will keep rising until we find a super good replacement for energy production or we start using our electricity wisely.

  3. While I frequently ***** about the high prices I don't think any price (under $10/gallon) would stop me from driving.  I love cars too much.   Would just need to get a second (or third) job.  Hahaha.

  4. Gas started to break me at $2 a gallon. Something needs to be done before they break us as a country.

  5. In a situation like that you need to look at ways to save money...if you are commuting a great distance you either need to find a closer job to your home or move...possibly commute with friends....the gas prices aren't going to get any better.  I really hate paying 3.71 per gallon right now, so much in fact I am looking at getting a hybrid or a diesel.  Wonder what's going to happen when we hit 4 bucks....

  6. It will only get worse. More people less land.
