What would happen if the majority of Americans would not buy any gas for one day? All over American, just stop for one day? Do you think this would make a difference in these gas prices?? Worth a shot, don't you think??

  1. There has been national "do not buy gas" days..and obviously it didnt help. To many of us depend on our cars to get us to work and around doing whatever. I dont think the price of gas will ever go down again until we either get a new president or we possibly open our oil wells here in America..I dont know though..this is just an assumption.

  2. The only thing we could possibly do to get their attention would be to stop buying gas from the biggest one altogether.

  3. YEAH TOTALLY IMAGINE NO ONE BUYING ANY GAS BUT IM TALKING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY  YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IS TO GO TO A RADIO STATION AND GET EVERYONE TO BOYCOTT GASTATIONS AT LEAST ON YOUR CITY THEN YOU CAN MOVE STATE WIDES THEN THE WHOLE COUNTRY ,, YOULL EVEN BECOME FAMOUS AS THE DAY THAT SOLVE THE GAS PRICE YOULL BE ADORED LOL

THAT WOULD BE SO KOOL AND MIGHT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  4. This is a question that only an ignorant person would ask. No, it's not going to work for a simple reason - because the next day, everyone would buy more to compensate. The ONLY thing that can bring prices down is less demand and that will take a long time.

  5. no... they know what they are doing. we need gas to go to work. so if they raise the prises then they know that we would have to get it no matter how much. its sad but true they said in 2 years gas will be up to $8 a gal omg

  6. One day would have no effect on the price of gas. If Americans parked their cars for a week or a month and walked and used public transportation, I think this would have an effect.  Of course, this would never happen.  We can't even give up our SUV's .

  7. No, America is NOT driving the demand for gasoline worldwide any more. Both China and India have larger populations of folks who are switching from pedestrian and cycle means of movement to automobiles. They are much more influential in terms of the demand side of this equation than a mere stopping of purchasing for a single day in the US would be. The US actually HAS decreased demand fairly significantly throughout the "gas crisis." The effects have not been that large, however, not only because of what has already been stated, but that supply-demand is NOT the ONLY issue involved in high gas prices.

  8. People tend to blame the Arab Countries as far oil prices. US does not depend on Middle Eastern, US wants to control the oil market and the price. US import their oil from Canada, Venezuela,  Mexico, and produces their OWN. Now Europe solely depend on Middle Eastern oil, US has breast feed Europe for so long that  the dollar has devalued in every European country(euro, UK and British pound including the Canadian dollar). US has never broken away from their roots. Yet they criticize third world for this. Example aid to Germany and ISRAEL SINCE WW11. WHY???? aren't these countries rich enough. US blames OPEC for the gas prices, but the price of gas has risen at least $.10 at every gas pump in the US during Memorial Day WEEKEND. This is American holiday not Middle Eastern Holiday. The OIL COMPANIES should of acted in good Faith and Goodwill gesture to  every Americans and all Military that has sarcified every Memorial Day to lower gas for one day so they enjoy the holiday not worrying gas prices. WHY DID THE PRICE RISE 3% IN ONE DAY?????

AMERICANS HAVE SHED ALOT OF BLOOD FOR OIL
