I own a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer with a 4.2L I6 and a 2002 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8L V8 and i was wondering if anyone could help me out with the gas prices this way. I'm looking for cheap gas savers. I said performance in the title because i don't want those stupid piece of junk tornado air spinner thingys and "mega performance chips" off ebay. You know, I'm looking for real things like cold air intakes, stuff like that. What would be the cheapest and best?

  1. This site carries some of the best cold air intakes on the road for your trailblazer.Best of luck.  http://www.car-stuff.com/store/?N=9990+4...

  2. Simply the best way to save gas money is to change your driving habits. Accelerate smoothly, don't accelerate all the way to the speed limit between lights. (If there is only a short distance between them and they are red) Also, clean your car up and take out any unwanted weight, this is also free...

A new CAI and exhaust could potentially save on gas, however only high performance products would give you any kind of gains. Which would cost hundreds of dollars, so it would take a very long time for it to pay for itself. Even then, the new and improved exhaust note might make your foot heavier on the gas lowering your MPG even more.

There are many theories people stand by, i've looked over and researched them all. But in the end I found there is simply no way to make your car more efficient without some major modifications done to your car.
