Gas connection transfer within city (India)?

I am from Bangalore. I am shifting my house and want to transfer my Indane gas connection to new locality. What's the procedure. - Satyam.

You need to do following things:

- Submit the vaucher [Receipt from Indane Gas] to your Distributor along with the Gas Regulator.

- He will issue you a transfer receipt and will take the regulator back. Even he will refund you your Deposit amount along with transfer receipt.

- You may be asked which city do you want to transfer the connection.

In the new city,

- You need to find the Indane distributor.

- You need to produce the transfer receipt to him and pay the required deposite and the regulator fees.

- He will issue you the documents and Gas bottle.

- For this, he will ask your residence proof [Company letter/Retion card/Address proof] in the new city.

Note: If you are not the sole owner [If the connection is not on your name and on your fathers name], the new distibutor can ask for your fathers signature and may need him in person.

- In this case, take a authority letter from the sole owner, stating you are going to use the connection and sole owner is joining the same place in future time.
