I have just finished cleaning my Gas cooker over. I have used Mr muscle oven cleaner and lots of water. Since then, the flame has been more intense, and reflects a bonfire inside! Before i cleaned it, when i ignited the oven, there was a low blue flame then after a few seconds it bursts into life.

Now after ive cleaned it, the flame is more intense but mostle orange is this safe!!!

  1. You should have adjustable air vents on the cooker.

You need to adjust them so the flame is blue with orange tips on the flame. They should be at the end of the burner where the gas line goes into the burner.

  2. You may have gotten water inside the flame bar. When it dries out the flame might go back to blue. If it dose not there are vent adjustments where the gas jet goes into the flame bar. opening them a little will let in more air and turn the flame blue again. You will want to leave an orange tip on the flames.Hope this helps!
