  1. Auburn said it right....I think the 4-stroke would do a little better because the 2-stroke, you will be having to rev it more...There are after market tanks that hold more fuel...You can get one for either bike....

  2. Please don;t give him a ticket wiggysan

  3. i agree with the guy above 2 strokes are lighter faster and are so much more fun long live the 2 strokes!!!!!!!!

  4. A two stroke uses a mixture of gas and oil in the same tank, and the piston produces a spark on every up stroke, while a four stroke engine uses gas in one tank and oil in the other and the spark is produced on every other upstroke.

  5. I don't know what uses fuel quicker out of the two but the fuel capacity for each is......1.8 gallon for a yz250f and 2.1 gallon for a yz125

  6. You have made a double post, please delete one of your questions please.

  7. i would go with the 2 stroke ive gone from my 2 stroke cr 80 to my cr 125 and now my cr 250 and its sad how 4 strokes are taking over we need to keep the 2 strokes alive but the mixing the gass for a 2 stroke really isnt that big of a deal it takes like 5 seconds.

  8. A 2-stroke engine takes a mixture of gasoline and oil.  You can buy it pre-mixed at some boat filling stations or mix it yourself using special 2-stroke oil that you can get at any auto parts store.

Since you add the oil to the gasoline in a 2-stroke, it does not have a separate oil-cooling system (no need to do oil/filter changes).  I believe the tradeoff is that you lose power and efficiency with a 2-stroke versus a comparably sized 4-stroke.  However, 2-strokes are cheaper to build and maintain.

2-strokes are also much dirtier (more polluting) since you are essentially burning oil, which is why they aren't used in larger vehicles.  But for something smaller like a dirt bike, motorcycle, jetski, etc., it doesn't really matter.
