  1. 2.4 liter engine.

just around 24 in combination and 23 in city and 27 in freeway.I think so.

  2. rdx's came in the k23 with a turbocharger

run the highest octane if you dont want problems in the future

otherwise it would've been safe if it wasn't for that turbocharger

  3. Safe?  Should be, but wise?, probably not.

The RDX uses a turbocharger that compresses & heats the intake charge to a point boardering on 'detination' (pre-ignition).  This is what causes engine ping/knock, and in extreme cases, damage to pistons, & rods.  Modern engines use the ECM in conjunction with 'knock sensors' to detune an engine that starts to knock...this protects the motor at the cost of horsepower.  One would expect your motor to be running in a detuned (retarded valve timing) mode while using less than 91/93 octane.  This sort of defeats the purpose of having a turbocharged engine in the first place, and would point the consumer more towards the normally-aspirated Honda CRV-EXL, which is happy with 87 octane.

Other than a seat-of-the-pants ability to note difference in outupt while at wide open throttle (WOT), you'd need to run a dyno for both the higher & lower grades of fuel, and compare how much power's at stake.

  4. Nope. I am suprised they say midgrade.

I would expect the turbocharged engine of the RDX would require premium gas.

    I would not use regular.

You can use regular up to 3 times, but it will start to break after that.

  5. safe yes.. knowing what gets you the best mileage is what you want to use.. only way of knowing is by using other type and brands ... best to start with what place you buy at always.. try what type they have mark your miles down and fill up and do it over again with another type of and mark mileage.. theres always one typer or brand the car will run better off of.... and using that brand or type wil save you money .. not every car or gas in the same as neither is the driver of that said car... only way of knowing  is by trying... any type of gas will nort hurt the car its what it runs better with is what you need to learn..... so most is reg mid or high octane use a tank of each and mark down the miles which every one gets you the most is the one you want to use be it what ever

  6. safe? yes  smart no...if the engine is made 4 mid grade...that's what u should use...if the tires recommend 32 pounds can u run 28? yes but not smart
