Gas in an 01 r6?

Question

I usually run the bike with regular unleaded gas and it runs great but then i just filled it with a tank of premium unleaded and it is running horribly. Any idea why this is happening?

I have a 600 sport bike, and never run it with regular.  Super bikes are required to run on Premium for maximum performance.  Your problems may be caused by the mix in ratios.  I would say run the existing tank out then refill with premium.  Your bike will run much smoother and to manufaturers recommendations when you run it on premium.

yeah i got a good idea its because if you change gas you cant do that it will run like c**p dont change gas stick with unleaded

Ethynol....You possibly got a tankfull with more than 10% ethynol. Remove it and use it in something else. Get a new tank of premium at a different station. The ethynol problems are starting to surface. Less MPG, damage to fuel lines, and performance issues. Does your R6 recommend premium? I had a Vmax that used only regular. Now I have  a Harley and a Honda scooter, both of which require premium.
