  1. Gas is great but you're more likely to wake up throwing up. And to carry on being sick for a while. And have a headache too. Been there, done that.

  2. Take the needle.

    I've had both and I found gas quite nauseating when I woke up, plus you have to have someone accompany you when you have gas.

  3. Depends on what is required;

    Gas is a general anesthetic, making it suitable for larger and complicated procedures (e.g reattaching gums, cutting the palate etc). Needles are local and fine for procedures working on individual teeth (e.g extractions and fillings).

    Local anesthetic affects the injected regions on the mouth, making it more practical, quicker and safer. Dental practices will not use general anesthetic if there are better alternatives or if it is unnecessary.

  4. Give me gas every time.

    I have never been sick after it. I occasionally had  very vivid dream during it but this was usually very quickly forgotten.

  5. The needle is way way way better! You get sick from the gas most of the time!

  6. I still need gas ..................thats just for a checkup !

  7. Im guessing the gas youre referring to is laughing gas or nitrous oxide. Laughing gas is a mild sedative compared to the injected anesthetic. I dont think that if you had just the gas you would feel completely numb, you might feel some pain. So i would suggest to go with the needle anesthetic, all you feel is the pinch of the needle and after that nothing. Your entire jaw goes numb for a couple hours, no pain.

  8. Needles arent so bad, they can numb you so you don't feel it just look the other way. Not had gas, could be fun!

  9. Just have a needle, you can't even feel it anyway.

  10. take the needle works faster and the room goes blurry before you go to sleep

    i felt sick when everything wen blurry

  11. The needle is quicker to leave the blood stream.
