Gas lease extension of term option

unfortunately you did sign the lease, even though it seems you didn't fully read or understand the terms on the contract you signed or your just not wanting to stand by the agreement you made but No, you can not change or renegotiate your lease no matter what you do or try and you have no right to refuse or stop such extension, you could only take them to court because of the verbal statement made to you of it being an option that you could refuse but I doubt you'd win in court.
