Gas mileage when towing a boat.

Question

I was just wondering if anyone knew how much gas mileage decreases in general when towing a boat. I know it varies with vehicles, I'm just looking for an estimate.

2 to 6 mpg depends what your towing & towing with>

My dodge diesel 4 mpg but i'm hauling 4000 lbs>

My F-250 Superduty diesel increase mpg about 2 or 3.

to be on the safe side consider half normall MPG.  It depends on hills and such but 2/3 is probably closer.
