Gas prices! What is going on?

I don't understand what the h**l is going on. I know this is more of a posting but can someone tell me why? 911? War? Being dumb? I paid $4.37 a gallon today. My little civic cost $41.00 and I wasn't even on E yet.

It started with weak economy (weak dollars).

But most of the recent price drive is all from WALL STREET speculators (greed).

Weak Dollar + International Demand + Speculation.  Don't expect it to go down, change your driving habits and buy a scooter.

honestly i really dont understand why its so high either. i thought maybe a shortage of gas but i think there is plenty. i think people are just getting really really greedy! I filled my talk up yesterday i have a small chevey cavalier and gas was $3.99 it took $51 to fill my tank.  i cant even imagine if gas was $4.37 i would die!
