  1. It's called a budget. I make sure I put the same amount in the bank every week so I can pay my bills.

With the price going to $4 a gallon (puking), I have to cut costs. Some days I'll stay home and finish moving around my room.

I buying one item a month, aside from buying food and supplies for the week and such.

As long as I have a budget that works, I can get to work, even with the disgusting gas prices.

  2. I already take the train.

  3. stay home, draw welfare, and let those of you still working feed me....

  4. think about how i will get to work

  5. Yeah, I know.  I gave up trying to go to my part time job and am staying home full time on the farm.  Oy, now I have more time with my kids.  How much is it where you are?  I think today it was $4.03 a gallon.

  6. Probably carpool with friend nearest by.

  7. Ride a bike

  8. Lillith, maybe you should try marrying a man that makes enough money to support a family.  Have you tried that?

  9. i ride to work (bicycle) everyday for the past 2 years.

My kids and i ride together to the grocery store, backpacks and bike racks can hold a lot of groceries...

My hubby and I are both in school, full time, plus the kids have a bunch of summer camp expenses this year - but honestly i havent felt a single crimp from gas prices.

  10. Buy a bus pass, which I may start doing as early as the fall

  11. Funny you would ask.  In June I am moving closer to my job (and family) to a city that is about 7 miles from where I work. I currently dirve 25 miles to my job. Just so happens that about 8 co-workers live in that city, so we are all talking "car pooling" right now.  The funniest thing is that two of my co workers live right next door to each other and have never rode together in the past.

  12. Carpool, take the bus.

  13. Carpooling sounds realistic for some people, but not all.
