Question:

Gas prices aren't Exxon's Fault?

Many people don't realize that even though heads of such gas stations ARE heavily profitting from selling gas, however the main price of rising gas prices is the monopoly OPEC has on the market.

However, it's really just easier for the average person to blame such corporations.

My question to you is: What have you done to lower your use of gasoline? Like most people, the answer is nothing. Well, here's your wakeup call. There is a lot you can do to improve gas mileage of your car\truck\suv. Personally, I think that HHO is the best option currently available. What are some other techniques to improve energy effiency in all types of things that use gasoline and other fossile fuels?

And if you're doing nothing, why not? Just love that 12 miles per gallon feeling?

This all goes back to the fact also that if we keep using gasoline as we are now, then the prices WILL NOT go down. There is no supplier of something that isn't selling. Reduced demand = lower price.

  1. I dont go driving unless its necessary and if I have to do errands, I do them all at once.  Public transportation isnt a viable option where I live, but if it was, I would use that.

  2. Ha, your right man. I actually started riding my mountain bike to close places instead of using the car. You get more exercise, save money, and add to the support of lowering gas prices. Like you said the less demand the lower the prices. When I do use the car I try to fit in all my things at once so I don't keep having to go out. It's not a bad habit to get into and all the efforts out there add up.

  3. man what are blue collar people suppose to do just making it in this economy, u must be rich for writing this stupid question. What are we suppose to do with our cars that run on gasoline, convert them over to other types, like i got spare money for that c**p, ha no duh they arent going to go down anytime soon its all bush's fault

  4. Most people I know can't afford to drive as much as they used to.  Many have to cut down on their grocery bill to afford gas to go to work.  Therefore, you're wrong.  Most people have cut down on their gas usage.

*Edit:  I have no way to improve efficiency.  I simply drive less.  Us working poor cannot make changes.  We live paycheck to paycheck as it is.  In my town we don't have a public transportation system.  I have a bad back and can't ride a bike and I live 10 miles from anything.   I can't afford a hybrid, or any kind of new car.  I drive a 6 cylinder Pontiac, but at least it is paid for.   I literally have no way to improve the efficiency of anything.  I also live in FL where the summers are extrmely hot and it rains every day...If you know a real viable way us little people can make a difference, then, say so..

You are only 14?  Ha that explains it.  BTW--the blue collar worker cannot afford a hybrid whether or not it is cheaper in the long run.  No money is no money.  Maybe you need to do some research on economics.

  5. Well, I told my chauffeur to add an additional 2 psi inflation into each tire. It makes the limo ride a bit stiffer, but I am willing to make that sacrifice for the good of my country.
